Press Release Summary: What do ruined marriages, ended friendships , and stalkers all have in common? They all can happen on MySpace, the Nation\'s most popular social networking site and with a membership base of over 200 million users, this potential epidemic can expect to see rapid growth.
Press Release Body: MySpace is a phenomenon of epic proportions and although it is nothing new, it still is experiencing tremendous growth. With so many people online however, problems are bound to arise and they do. In the news it is not uncommon to read of criminal activities online, but what of personal losses for the everyday user or those who are affected by it\'s use? One California man is placing a bet that he can satisfy the need of those who have suffered a personal loss due to MySpace usage through a new site appropriately titled myspaceRuinedMyLife.com.
"I created this site by chance", says founder and owner Aaron Siegel. " I was at my own MySpace profile and going through bulletins and as usual was reading of people\'s problems and gripes with either MySpace or some feud they were having with another user on MySpace. I wondered how many of these people might actually feel that their lives were being devastated in some form or fashion. I realized there might actually be a need to vent outside the network, a place the world could see regardless of a friend count."
The site is a small one and is run on a simple WordPress blog script and allows users to share their story simply by creating a username with email. The site has category titles such as MySpace Ruined My Marriage, MySpace Ruined My Friendship, etc. but don\'t mistake the site owner as being anti-MySpace. "I have my own MySpace profile and am a complete fan of the site. I just feel that the world may find entertainment in sharing and reading stories about MySpace." To prove it myspaceRuinedMyLife.com has a category to post stories in MySpace Ruined Nothing where users can post positive stories about their experiences with MySpace.
"I\'m not saying MySpace is bad or good and I\'m not saying this site is 100% serious either. I\'m looking forward to reading some funny stories and I hope myself and others can have fun with this site", says Aaron. The site has already made comical art photography with slogans for people to share with each other to help spread the word or just have a good laugh.
Aaron does not know the future of his site but he has high hopes for it. "I spent my only bill money to build this site and I don\'t know if it was a good idea to do, but I couldn\'t sit still wondering the big what if", he calmly states. "You have to take risks in this world to make something of yourself and I\'m not the first to risk, I just hope to pull in a profit from ad revenues and have fun."
